Brad Smith & Nik Kennedy have been playing together as HOLY BONER since 2006, gradually developing a mondo brutale noisemusical chemistry inspired by old-school grindcore/noisecore and punishing abstract noise. Over the years Brad & Nik collaborated and experimented with lots of different people and sounds, adding everything from trombone to didgeridoo, piano, sax, extra vocalists and amplified bong bubbling into the noise.

In 2012 noisemaker and instrument builder Rod Cooper joined, and we decided to focus less on experimental deviations and more on the original vision of the ‘Boner: TOTAL DEVASTATION NOISECORE inspired by our favourite noisy bands like GORE BEYOND NECROPSY, WORLD, ARSE DESTROYER, ANAL CUNT, FINAL EXIT, and LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY, but with our own style… wild noisecore bursts and grind/punk improvisations, utilising handmade instruments, fx pedals and multiple vocal styles for full spectrum walls of noise, chasing an obsession with creating the most dense and punishing chaotic sound possible…
